Our Coach and Staff
Michael Vanags
Head Coach Michael Vanags has been involved in lacrosse since 1981. He began his lacrosse career at Whittier College. He was a charter member of Whittier College Lacrosse which is now the only west coast team in the NCAA. He was a two-time WCLA All-Star Defenseman. Coach Vanags worked with Beach Cities Lacrosse, Huntington Beach Blackhawks Lacrosse, and local lacrosse clinics and tournaments. He has conducted lacrosse camps and given private instruction. He has officiated at the youth and high school levels. Coach Vanags owns a Private Investigation and Security Company and lives in Huntington Beach.
Colin Barret
Coach Colin Barrett originated in Tampa,FL and later moved to upstate South Carolina. He played travel hockey throughout the east coast but transitioned over to Lacrosse as an attack man during his high school years at Riverside High School in Greenville, SC. He played college lacrosse at Florida State University in Tallahasse,FL. He just relocated this year to Huntington Beach where he now lives and works with Verizon Wireless and is starting his own company called "Coast2Coast pickers".
